Look too closely and you won't see the tree, for the leaves (are triangles)
To see the Tree through the Leaves; one needs only to stand back and admire how a team of talented minds created this design and brought it to life through the use of over 780 triangles.
All these triangles created various visual effects not only in the 3-story atrium, but also in reception areas and hallways throughout the project.
The Triangles were made of Ash veneer that was stained in three different finishes. Other Triangles were made of felt, glass or, have acoustical perforations and sound dampening materials inside. They all come together in an orchestrated format as architectural art pieces to form a beautiful backdrop for others to admire.
Other highlights that might go unnoticed by the casual observer include; the precision in which the triangles were engineered and fabricated; and how they were installed with laser precision to maintain a ¼”-tight reveal the entire diagonal span of a three-story building. An astonishing feat pulled off by our engineers and the talented craftsmen of Elite Millwork that performed the installation.
The craftsmanship and attention to detail are so beautiful that it’s easy for one to just stand back and say “What an outstanding project!”.

Design Assist with Sellen Construction and Perkins + Will
IWS partnered with Sellen Construction and the Architects at Perkins + Will early in the design process on this magnificent healthcare facility . This design-assist approach lent itself nicely to the formation of a team of talented people that came together, inspiring collaboration on the design and engineering and delivered on the quality craftsmanship and design intent.
From the beginning, the team worked to value engineer and then mock-up the most critical elements of the project so that the completed project gave the end user a project they could be proud of and one that would last decades into the future.
When working with IWS, the team of General Contractor and Architects receive Peace of Mind their project will come together from Concept to Completion every time.
